The Islet Update 1.1.0, new euro and bow tasks, 31 achievements, boss guides and collection help for Dazed Games’ physics fishing adventure.
How to Fish is a physics-based fishing action game from Dazed Games. It released for Windows on Steam on August 20, 2026 and supports solo play and online co-op. The storefront still says 1–4 players, while official Patch 1.0.4 added support for lobbies up to 8.
1.1.3 adds Fishipedia bait guidance. The September 29 patch shows the required bait after a creature’s first kill. The preceding 1.1.2 hotfix repairs Tench spawning from the new bait and enlarges mini-island Radar dots. The Islet content release remains September 28. Read the official update summary.
Start with euros, the bow and bottle money, or check the missing fish between Char and Mahi-Mahi. The 50-entry fish tracker is a documented pre-Islet subset, not the complete 1.1.0 roster. Returning from before Steam Cloud? Preserve the source device and follow the existing-save upload guide. The roadmap separates shipped content from later plans.
Looking for a crew? Find players and draft a co-op request, or check the Albatross host/guest visibility report when a fight looks different between players.
Hook a creature, finish the fight with your current weapon, then sell the catch to fund the next upgrade.
Quest givers generally want the boss trophy or distinct hand-in item—not ordinary meat chunks.
Boss quests and island objectives move the campaign forward; the radar and boat engine reduce the grind.
Search 50 documented creatures and boss triggers by island and lure, then track Collector and Fishipedia progress locally.
Plan your next purchase, check the actual content-update status or diagnose a missing quest trophy. The review date marks a wiki update, not a newly released game patch.

What the developers actually announced, what the Island 6 reference means and which collection goals you can tackle now.
Separate an unfinished hand-in from missing loot, compare host and guest inventories and preserve your save before testing recovery.
Launch and exit once on the device that holds the wanted campaign, then wait for Steam Cloud before opening another device.
Deck Verified and GeForce NOW arrived in 1.0.11; Steam Cloud is now official in Patch 1.0.12.
Patch 1.0.11 deliberately keeps self-explosive damage active. Leave the blast radius; the lobby setting is not protection for the thrower.
Back up the full LocalLow folder, then isolate only one suspected corrupt save from a duplicate. Do not delete every slot.
Exit the game, restart Steam and install the pending update on the host and every guest before creating a fresh lobby.
Preserve both LocalLow folders and test a copy. Cross-account host-world compatibility is not confirmed.
Separate an unsellable whale reward from a negative wallet and the roulette bugs listed in Patch 1.0.10.
Use safe checks for the exact Steam launch dialog, with separate branches for Unity crashes and Windows blocks.
Preserve remaining files and check your own older backups. A reported backup-file change did not restore the author's campaign.
Use the new 1.0.11 options, but keep them separate from whether a custom keybind persists after restart.
Use the Island 3 Coconut route for Normal or Drip Bing Bong; no official variant rate or pity count is published.
Patch 1.0.12 adds Cloud. Upload from the device with the wanted save first and preserve both local copies if progress differs.
Compare v1.0.11+ Any%, No Dynamite, Crab% and 100% records, plus the new No Gambling category.
Patch 1.0.10 keeps up to 64 ground items and prioritizes weapons, tools, quest items and creatures.
See the new islets, weapon, creatures, mini-boss and achievements, with official changes separated from community discovery notes.
Preserve LocalLow, separate an absent boat from missing keys or Radar and do not edit the only save.
Record exact reward names and rarities; 1.0.10 changes roulette, not published Reel odds.
The old X marked the last death position. Patch 1.0.10 removes it because it was confusing.
You begin with almost nothing. Catching and selling creatures finances stronger weapons and better gear; boss quests open more islands; trick shots raise the value of a kill; and the slot machine and roulette can put that money at risk.
This is an action game built around fishing—not a calm fishing sim and not a real-world fishing tutorial. Cartoon creature combat, in-game gambling and co-op chaos are part of the design.
