How to Fish Islet Update: 1.1.3 Bait Help and 1.1.2 Fixes

Catch up on How to Fish 1.1.3 Fishipedia bait names, the 1.1.2 Tench and Radar fixes, and the Islet Update's new islands and achievements.

Quick answer The Islet Update shipped September 28. Its latest game patch in the October 3 Steam-news check is 1.1.3, published September 29: Fishipedia now shows a creature's bait after its first kill. Patch 1.1.2 separately fixed Tench spawning from the new bait.

1.1.3: find the right bait before hunting Drip

In 1.1.3, the Fishipedia displays the bait name after you have killed that creature once. For a rare-variant hunt, open an already-discovered creature's entry and read its bait requirement before spending another session on the wrong bait. An undiscovered entry is not expected to reveal the same information. This change adds guidance, not a guaranteed Drip catch or a published rarity.

1.1.2: Tench, mini-island Radar dots and reload controls

  • Tench can now spawn from the new bait; an older unsuccessful attempt is not proof that the bait can never work.
  • The new mini island's bait spawns increased from two to three, and its Radar dots became larger.
  • Reload can be rebound, two bow skins were added, and downgrading to ironsight is available again.
  • Wishbone upgrade pricing was adjusted. Read your current shop price rather than treating an older screenshot as a fixed cost.

Both patches were published September 29. If Steam has not offered the update, the 1.1.2 announcement recommends restarting Steam. Keep a separate save backup before comparing modded and unmodded behavior. These notes do not establish a repair for every Fishipedia 61/62 report or the separate modded-shop exception.

What changed in The Islet Update?

Dazed Games’ September 28 announcement calls 1.1.0 the first content update. Its publication time is . Patch 1.0.12 remains in the historical patch notes, but is no longer the newest release.

AreaOfficially announced changeDetail not supplied by the notes
ExplorationSeveral small islands and revised distances between islands.A universal coordinate list or a new numbered campaign chapter.
Combat and catchesAn additional weapon, more creatures, another mini-boss and a new bait.A complete named roster, damage figures or catch probabilities.
CollectionMore items, another NPC, an outfit and additional achievements.Every purchase price, unlock condition or cosmetic probability.
Audio and storeSome sound effects have different volume levels; a PEAK bundle is available.A fix for every headset problem or a requirement to own PEAK.

The notes establish that content shipped; they are not a full walkthrough. The euro and bow directions below also use identified player reports. That distinction matters when a purchase fails or a new catch appears missing.

A practical starting route for returning players

  1. Preserve your working campaign. Back it up before changing mods or testing a different device. Let every co-op participant finish the Steam update.
  2. Keep navigation available. Island spacing changed. Record a known destination and keep track of the Radar before exploring similar-looking small islands; old travel times are not a reliable map.
  3. Separate euros from dollars. Community replies describe islet fish and money in a bottle as euro sources. A large dollar wallet does not necessarily meet a euro price. Use the islets, euros and bow guide.
  4. Choose one new goal. Earn a euro, find money in a bottle, or make an arrow kill. The 31-entry checklist preserves your existing local marks.

No new-save requirement is stated in the announcement. Do not erase a completed world merely because an older guide has no entry for a new island. The five-stage campaign route and the new small-island content should be read as different scopes, not as a contradictory count of all land in the game.

The three new Steam achievements

Bilingual concerns your first euro, Money in a bottle concerns finding bottle money, and Hobin Rood requires an arrow kill. The last name is Steam’s exact spelling. These additions explain why an old 28-of-28 list is no longer the full achievement set; they do not by themselves prove that a save was deleted.

Steam’s global list and the store API both report 31 entries in this review. Achievement completion is still checked in Steam and the game. The wiki does not read account progress or award achievements.

New questions to check before repeating a long grind

Fishipedia at 61/62: several players report the same missing ordinary and Drip slot. Follow the comparison checklist rather than assuming a guaranteed rarity or an unlockable creature name.

Can pick up items but cannot buy: one modded player reports a MissingMethodException after updating. This differs from an insufficient euro balance. Use the post-update mod comparison.

Lost Radar among new islets: a co-op report describes becoming lost after the Radar disappeared. The post does not verify an infinite-map mechanic. Use backup-first navigation checks.

Which wiki data is fully updated?

The achievement list has all 31 official entries. The fish tracker still contains 50 documented pre-Islet creatures and bosses. It is a useful legacy subset, not a claimed complete 1.1.0 list. Existing creature and skin checkmarks are not deleted to disguise that limitation.

The speedrun snapshot was refreshed separately, retaining the verified board’s actual version label. A record played before September 28 is not proof of a new Islet route. The roadmap now distinguishes this shipped update from an unannounced later release.

Frequently asked questions

When did How to Fish 1.1.0 release?

Dazed Games published The Islet Update on September 28, 2026 at 14:24 UTC. September 29 is this wiki review date, not a second patch release.

How many achievements are there after the Islet Update?

Steam lists 31 achievements in the September 29 check, up from 28. The additions are Bilingual, Money in a bottle and Hobin Rood. Existing browser checkmarks are retained; new goals are not automatically marked complete.

Does 1.1.0 fix the fish missing at 61/62?

The announcement does not name that Fishipedia problem or promise a fix. Players report a missing slot between Char and Mahi-Mahi; a low catch rate, missing save entry or repeated report does not by itself establish a cause.
