How to Fish Trick Shots & Killscore

Practice trick shots, build a killscore multiplier and set up the 360 no scope achievement in How to Fish without wasting boss encounters.

Quick answer Practice on a weak, isolated creature: lower its health first, create space, then perform the trick movement and land the finishing shot. The 360 no scope requires a full rotation and an unscoped kill, so use a target that will survive until the final shot.

What killscore changes

The official Steam description says trick shots increase the money earned from kills. The achievement list confirms two score milestones: “Noob” for a kill with no multiplier and “Impressive” for reaching a 5x killscore multiplier. This makes trick-shot practice both an economy tool and a completion goal.

Do not start on a boss. Boss movement, large health pools and expensive setup make it difficult to tell whether your input or the encounter caused a failed attempt. A normal creature gives you a fast reset and a clear final hit.

A repeatable practice setup

  1. Choose an ordinary creature. Isolate it from NPCs, terrain traps and other catches.
  2. Reduce its health first. Leave enough health that an accidental graze will not end the attempt before your trick.
  3. Create a safe gap. You need room to rotate without the creature colliding with you.
  4. Use the trick only for the finishing hit. This makes the success condition easier to read.
  5. Check the multiplier feedback. If the game records no multiplier, simplify the motion and repeat on another normal target.

How to get 360 no scope

The achievement description says: “Kill a creature with a 360 no scope.” An attributed launch-day walkthrough demonstrates a full spin followed by a hip-fire finishing shot. The safest interpretation is literal: rotate the camera/player through a complete turn and fire without using the scope.

Clean input sequenceLower the creature to finishing range → move to open ground → keep the scope off → complete one full rotation → fire the killing shot. Avoid starting the spin while pressed against the target.

If it does not unlock, check three things before changing weapons: the rotation was complete, the killing shot was unscoped and the target died from that shot rather than a delayed environmental effect. The focused 360 no scope page includes a compact retry checklist.
