Find your How to Fish sensitivity
This uses the community coefficient of 0.025 degrees per mouse count at sensitivity 1, documented by AimUrWay’s author. Its August 22 release predates Patch 1.0.12; treat the result as a starting point and check it in your current game.
Use and check your result
- Choose the right starting value. Use your hip-fire sensitivity, not a scoped multiplier. If your game is missing, measure the distance for a full turn and select “Measured cm/360”.
- Set both DPI values. They can differ. For example, moving from 800 DPI to 1600 DPI needs half the target sensitivity to preserve the same physical turn.
- Apply the result in How to Fish. Use the closest value available in the sensitivity setting. This page does not install a mod or edit your files.
- Check a complete rotation. Face a fixed landmark, mark your mouse’s starting point and turn until the landmark returns to the same position. Measure the travel. Repeat at a comfortable speed.
- Adjust after measuring. If you travel 45 cm but want 40 cm, multiply your current sensitivity by 45 ÷ 40. More sensitivity means less distance per turn.
Keep acceleration and any custom per-game input scaling consistent. Presets assume default yaw values. A turn that changes with swipe speed cannot be matched by one constant. For choppy camera movement, use the mouse-polling checks.
What does cm/360 mean?
It is the physical mouse distance for a full camera rotation. A larger number means slower turning. The calculation is 36576 / (cm/360 × DPI). At 800 DPI, 40 cm/360 gives 1.143000; at 1600 DPI it gives 0.571500. Matching this distance does not make two games’ scopes or camera views identical.
Convert vertical and horizontal FOV
AimUrWay’s author reports a vertical FOV slider of 40–140, default 74. Pick your game’s rendering aspect ratio, which may differ from your monitor when using a stretched or letterboxed resolution.
Horizontal FOV = 2 × atan(tan(vertical FOV ÷ 2) × aspect ratio). The reverse divides by the aspect ratio. Angles must be between 0 and 180 degrees; a valid geometry result can still fall outside a game’s settings range.
ADS sensitivity and FOV resets
Why does aiming feel slower?
The mod author describes an ADS multiplier of current FOV ÷ base FOV. For example, 37 ÷ 74 is 0.5; 37 is an illustration, not a weapon’s published scope value. Set your base FOV before testing scoped aim.
FOV changes after restarting
The same author reports differently capitalized save/load keys causing FOV to return to 74. Dazed Games’ notes through 1.0.12 do not confirm this bug. Record your setting before and after a restart and reapply it if needed. Keep the game version with your report.
